Our kit has unique flexible strips, that are specifically designed to be used within wearables. The LEDs are easy to attach to clothing and have evenly-spaced LED pixels suitable for an unlimited variety of designs.
Our capabilities don’t just go beyond wearables, though: use our strands for craft projects, home decor, or anything else requiring a little bit of sparkle!
Our wearable tech kit does not require any coding, soldering, or special equipment. All that is required to integrate into clothing is a glue gun or needle and thread, plus your imagination.
Our YouTube channel Lumen Couture offers regularly updated inspirations and step-by-step tutorials for using the kit.
Our kit is compatible with a variety of boards for the more seasoned maker, including arduino and a variety of bluetooth and app-controlled remote controls.
As of 2022, we’ve upgraded our product and each LED has heat clear shrink covering the LED and connectors, increasing durability and flexibility for your projects.
Note that while this provides additional resistance to moisture, we do not consider the product fully waterproof or recommend exposing to moisture.
Yes! You can string multiple kits together for more LEDs and we offer single strands, although we don’t recommend more than four at once. More LEDs will decrease your battery life, so if you plan on adding multiple strands we recommend a larger power bank.
Yes! To shorten the LEDs, simply cut at any point you want the strand to end (make sure they are unplugged and turned off first, of course).
Yes! We offer discounts on orders of over 10, and can provide shipping discounts if you don’t require individual boxes.
The remote control is universal and will pair to any device. This means that if you have more than one in the room they will both respond to the same controller. If this is undesirable, we recommend using the compact controller which will not have interference from other kits.
No: we do not recommend getting the LEDs, batteries, or controllers wet. If they do come in contact with moisture, turn them off immediately and let them fully dry before using again. While we have successfully put powered-off garments without batteries through the washing machine without problems, we can’t guarantee you will have the same results.
